How to Make Your Own Small Solar Panel
While building small solar panels still remains a hot topic to analyze and discuss about, only a few people realize that there is a really HUGE DIFFERENCE between buying ready to install and activate solar systems and actually building them on your own using all the necessary appliances that you can possible find in your garage. I had the idea of DIY a long time ago, but due to the lack of experience, knowledge and creativity I simply couldn’t get it done. You can find thousands of free and paid guides about how to make your own small solar panels or big solar systems on the internet, but in most of the cases, the information is going to appear as high tech for those who have no clue what is this all about and pretty much of a fluff for experts. That’s why I personally recommend to stop being obsessed by research material and to start your own solar system by trying to build your first little, tiny, but efficient and perfectly working small panel. If you decided that it’s time to set up a solar power system on your own and try to save a couple of hundred bucks on your electrical bill each and every month, then it’s time to learn or “discover” the actual secrets of making those “alien” technology small solar panels.
I explained the difference at the beginning of this article, but it seems that you still haven’t understood what is this all about. I’m trying to say that while there are those enthusiasts who believe in the power of the Mother Nature and are willing to pay a couple of grand just to see their solar panels up and running, others just don’t have that kind of money and prefer, slowly but surely, to do everything on their own and to start creating, building or assembling small solar panels without buying new ones. However, what makes them choose this way? Do solar panels really cost that much that they are impossible to be bought and forgot? Let’s see.
It’s all about Making Your Own Solar Panels
Doing everything from the beginning when it comes to the actual building of a small solar panel in home conditions can be quite a provoking task for a beginner and an easy one for the expert who is doing this to earn a living. However, what if you have no clue about solar panels, but you have what it takes, aka the patience and the courage to try and succeed. Well, let’s see what your real options are. In order to be able to “hit the apple” and construct a working panel from the first attempt, I suggest that you get some literature, guides and schemes and study everything you can for several days or maybe weeks. Internet is hosting millions of pages related to solar panels and small energy providers and inverters for these, but you can still find something in the specialized stores in the REAL WORLD where REAL HUMANS are living. There are basically two main methods that can be used.
How to Make Small Solar Panels
When trying to make a solar panel of any size, let it be small or big, you are still going to need the basic things, which are: sheets made of copper, sand paper a huge jar or a big bottle of plastic, etc. OH YES, don’t forget about getting an electric stove and tap water… just in case… I still recommend you to have a step by step something like a guide/scheme, etc that you can use to get it done. I understand that after reading a book of some kind you might consider that everything you need is there, but our mind tends to get things out of the system and it might simply happen that you forgot to make the connection between two wires and you’re small panel won’t simply conduct the energy further. That’s why specialists recommend you guys to have some kind of guide. Get a simple manual in your hands and you are going to be free to start building. After you’ve done a few, you’ll realize that making small solar panels is nothing special and that in fact… THIS IS COOL!
Remember that building a small solar panel with your own powers (DIY solar system) might cost you less than $200 dollars. However, if you can’t handle to do it absolutely from scratch, you can always purchase a do it yourself assembly kit and obtain your first panel by following the step by step instructions that you get in the manual. Such kits don’t require the assistance of a professional technician or a specialist. If you can read and understand numbers you can definitely handle that kind of stuff
it will cost you no more than $300 USD. ANYWAYS, if you just got your salary and want to invest in something special and you still have some money left in your pocket that I would recommend buying a totally ready made solar panel power unit of at least $3,000 USD. The intermediate cost for the working solar energy gathering panel, installed and ready to rock is approximately $30K. YEP THAT IS A LOT, BUT IT IS WORTHY!!
